On November 1 Stas Marketing Partners (Moldova) has organized the round table on perspectives of strategic development of Moldovan wine industry. The round table was attended by Moldovan Wine Guild companies ("DK-Intertrade", "Acorex Wine Holding", "Lion-Gri", "Dionysos-Mereni", "Chateau Vartely", "Vinaria Purcari" и "Vinaria Bostavan"), international support organization (BAS, CEED), Moldovan Investment and Export Promotion Organization (MIEPO) and domestic media.

Managing partner of Stas Marketing Partners Andrei Stas presents some strategic thoughts on undustry development in the format of briefing inviting participants to discuss perspective ways of wine industry competitiveness improvement. There were two contraversery positions expressed by participants of round table. Some of them clearly stated that Moldovan wine industry needs strategic turnaround to increase competitiveness and attractiveness for external markets. Another point of view is that industry should continue previously chosen way and there is nothing wrong with this way.

Andrei Stas mentioned that during last 15 years wine industry of Moldova was focused on satisfying needs of Russian large distributors with no regard that their interest are totally different: wine makers work in long (up to 15 years) investment cycle and dependant in long term factors while distributors are working on short term loans and focusing on immediate results.
